    Upcoming Bank Holidays In March 2025: Banks To Remain Closed For Up To 3 Days; Check State-Wise List

    Banks will close for up to three days in the last week of March, including March 31 for Ramzan-Id. Online banking remains available. In April 2025, banks close for 15 days.

    Bank Holidays in March 2025

    Bank Holiday 2025: In the remaining days of March, banks will be closed for up to three days, impacting millions of customers. However, bank branch closures will vary depending on the state. There is a nationwide bank closure on March 31 due to the occasion of Ramzan-Id (Id-Ul-Fitr).

    As per RBI’s holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, banks will remain shut on March 27 and March 28 in Jammu and Srinagar due to Shab-I-Qadr and Jumat-ul-Vida, respectively.

    Bank Holiday On Eid 2025

    Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad (AP & Telangana), Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Srinagar, and Thiruvananthapuram on March 31, 2025.

    Online Banking Activities To Resume During Holidays

    However, online banking services will continue as usual without any hindrance. It allows people to carry out online transactions, bill payments and other online services available on the online platforms of these banks.

    Bank Holidays In April 2025

    Banks are set to close for up to 15 days including second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays.

    • April 5 – Babu Jagjivan Ram’s Birthday

    • April 10 – Mahavir Janmakalyanak / Mahavir Jayanti

    • April 14 – Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti / Vishu / Biju / Buisu Festival / Maha Vishuva Sankranti / Tamil New Year’s Day / Bohag Bihu / Cheiraoba

    • April 15 – Bengali New Year’s Day / Himachal Day / Bohag Bihu

    • April 16 – Bohag Bihu

    • April 18 – Good Friday

    • April 21 – Garia Puja

    • April 29 – Bhagvan Shri Parshuram Jayanti

    • April 30 – Basava Jayanti / Akshaya Tritiya
