    Ingredients For Korean-Style Noodles

    • 1 packet (Hakka/Instant Noodles)
    • Garlic: 4-5 cloves (finely chopped)
    • Onion: 1 (finely chopped)
    • Capsicum: ½ cup (red, green, yellow, cut into thin strips)
    • Carrot: ½ cup (cut into thin strips)
    • Spring Onion: 2 tbsp (for garnishing)
    • Soy Sauce: 1 tbsp
    • Chilli Sauce: 1 tbsp
    • Gochujang (Korean Chilli Paste): 1 tbsp
    • Tomato Ketchup: 1 tbsp
    • Vinegar: 1 tsp
    • Sesame Oil: 1 tbsp
    • Salt: to taste
    • Black Pepper: ½ tsp
    • Sesame Seeds: 1 tsp (for garnishing)

    Steps To Prepare Korean-Style Noodles

    1. Cook the noodles according to package directions with a pinch of salt added to the water.
    2. Drain the noodles after 2-3 minutes, or when they reach the desired tenderness. Rinse them under cold water to prevent sticking and set them aside.
    3. Prepare the spicy sauce by combining the soy sauce, chilli sauce, gochujang, tomato ketchup, and vinegar in a bowl. Mix thoroughly. This sauce will infuse the noodles with the distinctive Korean flavour.
    4. Heat the sesame oil in a pan over medium heat.
    5. Sauté the garlic and onion until fragrant and lightly golden.
    6. Add the carrots and capsicum, stir-frying for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened but still retaining a bit of crunch.
    7. Add the cooked noodles to the pan with the vegetables.
    8. Pour in the prepared spicy sauce, ensuring it coats the noodles evenly.
    9. Season with black pepper and salt to taste.
    10. Garnish with spring onion and toasted sesame seeds for an added layer of flavour and visual appeal.

    Quick Tips

    • If gochujang is unavailable, substitute with red chilli powder and a touch of honey.
    • For those who prefer a spicier kick, incorporate chopped green chillies or red chilli flakes.
