Last week’s CME Group Tour Championship at Tiburon Golf Club marked the end of the 2025 LPGA Tour season. The $11,000,000 event had a mixed field featuring pros like Lexi Thompson, Brooke Henderson, Nelly Korda, Lydia Ko, and Lauren Coughlin.

After four rounds Jeeno Thitikul won the CME Group Tour Championship for a second consecutive time with a total score of 26 under par. Although the Thai professional golfer was a favourite to win and performed accordingly, several LPGA Tour pros underperformed their odds.

    #5. Miyu Yamashita

According to Bet365, Miyu Yamashita had 16/1 odds in favour of her winning the 2025 CME Group Tour Championship. Despite having low odds stacked against her, the Japanese pro tied for 36th place after four rounds.

Yamashita had a relatively slow start to this event. After day 1, she was 2 under par and moved to being 5 under par before the third round. This year’s Women’s British Open champ was 6 under par before the final round, where she ultimately carded five birdies and three bogeys.

Choi secured her ticket to the weekend after a 68 in round 2 which took her 36-hole total to 4 under par. Before stepping into the final round on Sunday, the 2017 US Women’s Open runner-up was 6 under. The final round ended with Choi tied for 26th with a 10-under-par total.

    #3. Celine Boutier

Among other pros, Celine Boutier underperformed at the CME Group Tour Championship. The French golfer had 30/1 odds (Bet365) of winning the LPGA Tour event in Naples, Florida.

Boutier’s woes started with the opening round, which saw her reach a 1-over-par total with three bogeys and two birdies. The golfer was on even par before competing on Saturday. After the final two rounds the 2023 Evian Championship winner carded a 3-under-par total and tied for 47th place.

    #2. Linn Grant

Linn Grant’s odds for winning the CME Group Tour Championship on Bet365 showed 28/1. The two-time LPGA Tour winner tied for 43rd place in the leaderboard with a 5 under par total.

Grant exhibited persistent pars in the front nine and carded two birdies and a double bogey in the back nine of the opening round. Before going into the weekend, she was 1 over par. After a bogey-free round 3 that had two birdies and one Eagle, Grant was 3 under. Her performance in the final round included three birdies and a bogey.
