Davante Adams claims credit for elevating Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua’s style since joining the Rams

Since joining the LA Rams, Davante Adams has elevated the team significantly. The veteran wide receiver inked a two-year deal with the franchise in March, and he’s been a genuine red-zone menace, giving Matthew Stafford another elite option to exploit across the field.

However, Adams believes he’s also brought quite a lot to the team off the playing field. In his appearance on the “Fitz & Whit” podcast on Wednesday, the wide receiver made it known that he’s ensured a change in the appearance and style of a host of Rams’ players and coaches.

“I think of somebody trying to be cool, I think of maybe, like, Joe Burrow,” Adam said. “I don’t think of that type of cool. I think of like, and I don’t mean that negatively about Joe, because Joe’s great, and I love Joe too. Honestly, Matthew’s not trying to be anything…

“Don’t like to take too much credit for a lot of stuff, but I will say that yours, Matthew, Puka, some of these coaches, I think I kind of stepped up y’all swag since being here. Cooper Kupp is a hell of an individual, and I love him to death. But that man, we know he wasn’t bringing a whole lot of swag to the equation.”

Without a doubt, Davante Adams has been a great addition for the Rams this season in many ways. Heading into Week 12, he’s recorded 43 receptions for 569 yards and ten touchdowns, as the Rams continue to be seen as a potential Super Bowl contender this season.

Davante Adams appreciates working with Matthew Strafford and Sean McVay

Davante Adams’ move to the LA Rams has been more fulfilling than many anticipated, and the wide receiver is appreciative of the experience. Adams, who is in his 12th year in the NFL, is enjoying working with quarterback Matthew Stafford and coach Sean McVay in Los Angeles.

“I really appreciate the experience here,” Adams said. “I actually told Matthew and Sean just recently, ‘I appreciate y’all boys, man. Just working with you has been amazing.’ I’ve been having a lot of fun, and I hope the world can see that.”

“They’re just two really simple and easy guys to work with. What you see is what you get. The communication is easy to maintain. They’re always in a certain type of mood, which is obviously easy to deal with. It’s just something to be grateful for.”

Though his role this season looks nothing like the ones he played in his first 11 years in the league, Davante Adams is perfectly happy with how he’s impacting the Rams team. He brought in added firepower to the team’s offense, offering them a championship hope amid an 8-2 start.
